The problem

Vaccine cards get lost, dates get forgotten

Puppies and kittens need several doses 2–4 weeks apart, then boosters. With more than one pet, keeping track in your head is almost impossible.

A late booster can leave your pet unprotected, and rabies vaccination is a legal requirement in many countries.

  • The vaccine card is somewhere at home and the vet is asking
  • A booster date passed without anyone noticing
  • Vaccines for different pets get mixed up
  • Hard to explain past vaccines to a new vet

Before and after vaccination

  • Vaccines are given when your pet is healthy; fever, diarrhoea or lethargy may mean postponing.
  • Limit contact with unknown animals until the puppy or kitten series is complete.
  • Mild tiredness for 1–2 days is common; facial swelling or breathing difficulty needs a vet immediately.
  • Record the date and vaccine name after each shot and note the next due date.
