Is the weight ideal? Check the chart.
Weight changes are slow and easy to miss. CanlıDostum logs every weigh-in, shows the trend on a chart and puts it next to meals and activity.

Extra weight comes slowly and goes unnoticed
A few hundred grams at a time is hard to notice in a pet you see every day. Over months it can turn into joint, heart and diabetes risks.
In sick or senior pets, unexpected weight loss is an important warning sign.
- Nobody remembers the last weigh-in
- Weight gain was only noticed at the vet
- No one knows if the diet is working
- Weight loss in a senior pet went unnoticed

How do you know a pet's ideal weight?
Breed averages help, but the most reliable measure is the body condition score (BCS) vets use.
Body condition score (1–9)
| Score | Condition | What you see |
|---|---|---|
| 1–3 | Thin | Ribs, spine and hip bones clearly visible |
| 4–5 | Ideal | Ribs easily felt under a thin fat layer; visible waist |
| 6–7 | Overweight | Ribs hard to feel; waist unclear |
| 8–9 | Obese | Ribs cannot be felt; sagging belly; fat on the back |
